A celebration was held for World Mother Language Day in Van, at the Academy building. The evening was presented with stories, poems, lyrics and songs and was completed with a dance.

There was a great interest of the participants in the program. First, the head of the Akademy, Abdurrahim Orhan, spoke about the
International Mother Language Day and spoke about the importance of learning Kurdish and said: “Learning a language is already a valuable and sacred task but learning Kurdish and protecting it is more than this. It is also standing up for right and truth, a quiet and original revolutionary concept.”

 

The student of the Kurdish course of the University reads the poem Ey Dilberê by Feqiyê Teyran.
