A new reading and discussion activity focusing on the works of the prominent Kurdish author Mehmet Uzun has begun at Akademy. The Mehmet Uzun Book Reading Group meets weekly to read and discuss previously selected sections from Uzun’s novels.

Organized as a Speaking Club Based on Literature, the meetings are held every Thursday at 20:00, bringing together readers and language enthusiasts to share their thoughts on Mehmet Uzun’s literary style, themes, and language.

The primary goal of this activity is to read all of Uzun’s novels and create a space for meaningful discussion around them. This not only helps improve participants’ language skills but also deepens their appreciation of Kurdish literature.

Through reading and dialogue, participants are encouraged to think more deeply about Kurdish identity, storytelling, and linguistic expression.
